Damian Lillard Out For The Year

December 18, 2010 2:20 pm

Damian Lillard suffered a broken foot in the Wildcats overtime loss to Tulsa last Thursday. Surgery is the day after Christmas and his recovery can take up to 12 weeks. Lillard was last year's Big Sky Conference MVP as a sophomore. With his injury and for the Wildcats to repete after winning back-to-back Big Sky Conference titles the scoring is now have to be picked up by Lindsey Hughley and Scott Bamforth who is second in scoring to Lillard.

Northern Colorado this week

February 3, 2009 12:43 am

No doubt that the bears are going to be looking for a little revenge after the embarrassing loss in Ogden.  The bears led the game for most of the way, but allowed WSU to come back in the final minutes and push the game into OT, where the Wildcats finished them off.  But this is a different team that the bears will be facing this week.  WSU has gained alot of confidence since that game, they have been playing great on the road, and thier freshmen continue to mature.  I'll be watching the game from my computer, I don't know if you all know about this or not, but all big sky conference games are streamed live on the internet.  You just need to go to http://bigskytv.org it's free to watch, you just need to sign up, then click on the game you want to watch.  It's not always the best quality, but it's better than nothing.  Well, if anyone wants to join me, we can start a message board for the game as well, as long as I remember.  Laughing

Anyone out there?

January 30, 2009 9:13 pm

Hey Cat fans! Weber is playing well, and playing Idaho State again this weekend.

Well, the message here is easy . . . where is anyone? I hate sitting here talking to myself, even the other members of the group never seem to post here . . . .

I'll start posting updates and other things again when some of the other group members start jumping on more often.

Until then, see ya around!

Cats beat Montana and go to 4-1

January 18, 2009 4:57 pm

Hey guys!

The Cats thumped Montana in a game that wasn't in too much doubt after the first half. Going into the locker room with a 32-23 lead the Cats played just as aggressive in the second half outscoring the Grizzlies 39-32 to take the win 71 to 55.

It looks like the teams strength last night was at the free throw line where they went 24-30!!! Great shooting on the free ones guys!!

Montana had the games leading scorer, but with three Cats in double figures (McCoy with 18, Lillard with 17, and Davis with 18) the Cats were certainly the ones dictating the tempo.

We are looking great so far in the first half of the season and if we can keep this going then there is no reason to think that we could host the conference tournament and go back to the NCAA's this season! It is looking like the tough pre-season schedule is starting to pay off!!!

Let's keep it rolling and make sure we win at home the rest of the way!!!

Go Cats!!!

3-1

January 16, 2009 5:30 pm

Ok Cats . . .

We are 3-1 in conference play . . . . off to a fairly good start in spite of giving up a close game at home last night to Montana State. Felt good to get the win over defending conference champ Portland State on the road, so hopefully we can turn it around and get back to our winning ways again. Next game is Montana at home this Saturday! This a game we can win! They have a record fairly close to ours (9-8) and are coming off a loss to the Bengals, but I feel good about this game . . . . coach will have a good game plan to recover from the loss and get the guys back on track!

Should be good! We'll try to get some more updates on here, theoretically after each game . . . . but we need some more Cat fans on here! Come on guys, do we bleed purple or what?? Spread the word and let's start getting some Weber folks on here!

Weber State, Weber State, Great, Great, GREAT!!!
